Dreams - Story, Gameplay, and Creation Details Revealed
Dreams, the next game from the creators of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, just got its first trailer since 2015. From the looks of the trailer, revealed at The Game Awards 2017, it seems like the game has evolved tremendously since the first time it was seen back in 2013.
Dreams will feature a full-fledged single player mode in which players will experience three interconnected stories that all combine into an overarching narrative. The three stories will have completely different styles: Dark film-noir point and click adventure, vibrant sci-fi puzzle action, and fantasy-horror action-adventure.
Like Media Molecule’s previous games, Dreams allows for unique content to be created and shared with a community of players. This "Play. Create. Share." formula is expanded upon in Dreams allowing players to develop full video games and movies within the game.
The creation tools were demonstrated during a panel at Playstation Experience 2017. Players will have access to a virtually limitless suite of creation tools. During this panel, it was revealed that PS VR will be supported, just not on day one. Players will be able to create full virtual reality games and experiences within Dreams.
Dreams is set to release in 2018 on PS4 with a beta happening sometime soon.
